Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Dragonflybrogo!

It is important to us that you are well-informed when you make your booking with us… but so that happens you’ll need to understand our terms and conditions. These are important because they:

  • outline the booking process including your payment options and how to cancel your booking; and

  • explain your obligations and what our obligations are to you.

By making a booking to stay at Dragonflybrogo (either directly with us or through our website), you accept these terms and conditions on behalf of yourself and all other persons staying at Dragonflybrogo under your booking. If you made a booking with us and were not provided with these terms and conditions at the time of booking and you are not satisfied and do not wish to accept these terms and conditions, you may cancel your booking and receive a full refund within 48 hours of being provided your booking confirmation email.

Your Obligations

You agree that:

  • You are personally liable for the payment of the guest account for your booking and if the person, company or association indicated by you as being responsible for the payment of the account does not pay, your liability for the payment of the account will be joint and several;

  • Any charges for guest services not billed at the time of departure, may be added to the account for settlement or charged to the same credit card/bank account used to pay the account, subject to an invoice being sent to you notifying you of any outstanding monies and all charges;

  • You are responsible for the property and are expected to take all reasonable care of its furniture, picture’s, fittings and effects, in or on the property. You must leave them in the same state of repair, and in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the accommodation period.

  • You may be charged a reasonable amount for non-return of keys and loan equipment, to replace items missing from the accommodation or any property of ours that is damaged by you (or those staying with you). This amount may be deducted from your credit card/bank account (following reasonable notice to you) or deducted from your cash bond upon check-out.

  • Our Liability – We, our employees, contractors, cleaners and other representatives shall not be liable to you or your party for loss or damage to your property howsoever arising. You must take all necessary steps to safeguard yourselves and your property. Nothing in this clause shall exclude or limit any liability that we are unable to limit or exclude by applicable law/s.

  • Complaints – Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. However, if you have any problem or cause for complaint, it is essential that you contact us immediately on the number/s provided to give us the opportunity to resolve it. We value your custom and want you to return. We will do our best to resolve any issues that may arise.

The Australian Consumer Law provides certain statutory guarantees for consumers which cannot be excluded, for example that services will be provided with due care and skill. Nothing in these terms and conditions modifies, excludes or restricts those guarantees or the remedies that may be available to you if we breach them.

Cancellations and Refunds

Important information

Do you want to cancel your booking?

We understand that sometimes plans change. If you change your mind about your booking, you may cancel it at any time prior to your intended arrival. Cancellation fees may apply. (see below)

Booking changes

If you wish to modify your reservation, please reach out to us at 0435 887 186 before your arrival. Please note that fees may apply for any adjustments to your stay.

We may ask you to confirm your identity when making a cancellation request.

The following fees will apply for cancellations:

If you cancel your booking more than 30 days out from original check in/booking date, 100% is refundable;

If you cancel your booking 30 days or less but more than 14 days out from original check in/booking date, 50% will be non-refundable; and

If you cancel your booking 14 days or less out from original check in/booking date, 100% will be non-refundable.

Refunds

Refunds will be processed via bank transfer directly to your bank account (not a credit card). There will be no refund of monies charged (if any) ie. credit card charges by the financial institution.

Credits

Instead of a refund, you may choose to receive a credit for your cancelled booking. This will be the amount paid for the booking less any cancellation and administration/credit card fees. You can use the value of your credit for future bookings. The following conditions apply in relation to credits:

Credits can only be used towards the value of accommodation bookings;

Credits are valid for 12 months from the date a booking was cancelled and are fully refundable less any fees, during that period.

What if we need to cancel your booking:

If we are unable to provide our services to you due to causes beyond our control (such as flooding, earthquake, fire or pandemics), we will not be in breach of this agreement but will refund or provide you with a credit for monies paid by you under this agreement for anything we can no longer supply. If we need to cancel in these circumstances, we will send you a SMS and/or email advising you of the situation and how you can claim your refund or credit.

House Rules

These House Rules form part of and are attached to the Dragonflybrogo Terms and Conditions as an Addendum.

Access

Access to the property uses a four (4) digit code on a lock box with the keys inside. Guests will be texted the day before arrival the access code.

One key is to open the front gate padlock and the other key is to open the accommodation facility. Upon leaving the premises, guests are required to lock and close all gates and doors. Upon the ending of your stay, the keys are to be left inside the lockbox at the front gate.

Solar system

Dragonflybrogo is an off-grid accommodation facility utilising solar panels and batteries to generate power for the efficient running of the accommodation facility. To enable full use of this off grid accommodation efficiently, some time constraints will apply.

Charging of EV Vehicles – Under no circumstances are any guests paying or otherwise to utilise the solar system for the purposes of recharging any/all vehicles whatsoever. Evidence of usage is available to the owners electronically. The use of our solar system to recharge vehicles, damages the batteries. Guests will be liable to pay for any and all damages relating to our solar system. Including and not limited to the loss of rental income whilst the damage is being corrected.

Split System Air Conditioning Unit – With the use of the split system air conditioning unit, guests will be required to turn it off by 9pm each evening. This allows the batteries to retain sufficient energy for the following mornings activities.

Heating – the split system air conditioning unit is not to be used for heating the accommodation facility. During the cooler months a gas heater is provided for this purpose.

Dragonflybrogo Compound

The accommodation facility ‘Dragonflybrogo’ is within a clearly defined locked fenced area consisting of approximately two acres. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the grassed area within this compound.

Guests are not permitted to access beyond the defined boundary fence. We are a working farm and cannot be held responsible for your safety outside of this defined compound.

Parking

Guests are required to park within the clearly defined parking space. If guest/s do not park within the clearly defined parking space and finds it difficult to get vehicle out, there will be an additional fee payable for the retrieval of the guest’s vehicle. Dragonflybrogo will not be held liable for damage (if any) that may occur in the retrieval of vehicle from undefined parking area. Guests will be held liable for any damage they incur to the property as a result of not parking their vehicle within the clearly defined parking space.

Pets

Guests are not permitted to bring any pet.

Smoking/Vaping

Guests are not permitted to smoke/vape anywhere within the Dragonflybrogo compound or inside the accommodation facility.

Use of Accommodation Facility/Parties/Additional Guests

Dragonflybrogo has the capacity to accommodate only two (2) guests at any one time. Guests are not permitted to invite any other party not booked in to the accommodation facility Dragonflybrogo nor use the accommodation facility to hold any event or party without the express written consent from the owners. Guests are not permitted to use the property for any dangerous, offensive, noxious, noisy, illegal or immoral activities or carry on any act that may be a nuisance or annoyance to the owners or other neighbouring properties.

Additional Vehicles/Watercraft

Guests are required to notify the owners of Dragonflybrogo prior to booking (enquiry stage), of any additional vehicles the guest is seeking to bring with them.
